Issue III: August Dies For Summer / Sebastian Snow

The following is an excerpt from one Snow’s poems featured in Issue III: hestia (hearth & home) which you can download for free here.

“I don’t want everything to be true.

I want you to sleep on my side

of the bed, I want to wake up before you,

I want to get your coffee wrong,

I want to give you your sun hat back.

I want to stay the whole summer in your backyard,

feeding your dog bites

of strawberries soaked in soil.

I want to read you. This moment doesn’t matter.

Let’s forget it. Let’s get all of it back.

It’s sick to think that after August,

the world keeps going on.”
