In 2022, Reed brought on board a co-editor, Nicholas James (he/him), who has a background in the humanities, bilingual education and teaching. Nicholas uses a pseudonym for his privacy but is very passionate about moving Free Verse Revolution forward.
Free Verse Revolution: a literary & arts magazine
Free Verse Revolution was relaunched as a literary & arts magazine in January 2021. For the first year, we focused on releasing quarterly issues digitally and expanded into print publishing in 2022. The magazine also publishes a yearly anthology celebrating the work and writers which have been published in that year.
We pride ourselves on publishing a myriad of voices and amplifying lived experiences through poetry, prose, photography and artwork. This is why we focus on putting our contributors at the centre of each issue, with one being interviewed in every issue. We regularly seek and respond to feedback to ensure we remain a safe and welcoming space for creatives.
